view on iPod touch/iPhone is distorted

Recommended Posts

Its hard to show but when viewing on an iPod touch with the safari browser the title text does not line up correctly. Hopefully someone else who has an iPod touch can show it better or explain it more clearly

I don't have my touch at the moment, otherwise I'd just take a photo. But basically all the navigation at the top doesn't line up properly and the "Neowin Forums >> Forum Section >> Thread" links all sit on top of each other a bit which make them really hard to tap (considering my finger is not 1x1 pixel in size).

Safari resizes all the other elements on the page properly.

is this happening when in horizontal mode or vertical mode

I see some areas where the text is bigger than it should be, which is causing some areas to not line up correctly. It looks like some css problems, I'll look into it to see if I can clean some of it up, but no promises (if changes effect real world browsers).

I think Apple wants the thing to be more readible with it's small screen when it's zoomed out. I think it's more of a feature...

Makes sense. The My Controls / Active Posts block of text is too wide and pushes the Welcome text down.

It would be nice having a Neowin page specifically for iPod/iPhones. I know the demand probably isn't high enough, but I noticed Facebook has one and it works really well :)
