bdsams Veteran Posted December 9, 2007 Veteran Share Posted December 9, 2007 Its hard to show but when viewing on an iPod touch with the safari browser the title text does not line up correctly. Hopefully someone else who has an iPod touch can show it better or explain it more clearly
Wannes
You might want to take a picture of it? ;)

osirisX
I don't have my touch at the moment, otherwise I'd just take a photo. But basically all the navigation at the top doesn't line up properly and the "Neowin Forums >> Forum Section >> Thread" links all sit on top of each other a bit which make them really hard to tap (considering my finger is not 1x1 pixel in size). Safari resizes all the other elements on the page properly.

Timan Veteran Posted December 10, 2007 Veteran Share Posted December 10, 2007 I see some areas where the text is bigger than it should be, which is causing some areas to not line up correctly. It looks like some css problems, I'll look into it to see if I can clean some of it up, but no promises (if changes effect real world browsers). sundayx Veteran Posted December 25, 2007 Veteran Share Posted December 25, 2007 I think Apple wants the thing to be more readible with it's small screen when it's zoomed out. I think it's more of a feature...
osirisX
And finally, we have photos: Vertical full size: Vertical zoom: Horizontal full size: Horizontal zoom:
+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted December 25, 2007 Subscriber² Share Posted December 25, 2007 Makes sense. The My Controls / Active Posts block of text is too wide and pushes the Welcome text down.
Sam Symons Veteran Posted December 25, 2007 Veteran Share Posted December 25, 2007 Strange. Neowin works fine on my iPod Touch, as far as I remember.
einsteinbqat
Granted some texts see their font size a little bigger, but there is no overlapping or disfiguration of the site format on my iPod touch.

Glowstick
Since we're at it, could we get a theme for the Mobile frontpage to copy the iPhone style?
hotdog666al
Depends how complex the site is, Neowin doesn't work but sites with more simple code work lovely :D

EnzoFX
hey, it does happen here too, on safari 3, i zoomed in. it looks as if the text gets too big for the page, but isn't the itouch suppose to scale everything (text/images) the same way? Sam Symons Veteran Posted February 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted February 2, 2008 It would be nice having a Neowin page specifically for iPod/iPhones. I know the demand probably isn't high enough, but I noticed Facebook has one and it works really well :)
