+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted December 11, 2007 Subscriber² Share Posted December 11, 2007 (edited) When a studio developing PSP and Wii games refers to the Wii one as the "small game" that a part of the team can "take a breather" with, there's something unusual happening. But somehow in the case of Ready At Dawn, it makes sense -- "God of War" and "small" have never been a comfortable fit, and the move to PSP hasn't changed that.If you've been paying attention, however, you already know that, and you may also know God of War: Chains of Olympus will be one of the first titles to take advantage of Sony's recent decision to let developers run PSP games at 333MHz instead of 222. But if you've ever wondered what this increased processor speed means for the game in practical terms, and what information about the game Sony has yet to reveal, we've got exclusive details, screens, videos, and behind the scenes nuggets coming all week. Oh, and that art on the right -- you can win that too. Source: http://www.1up.com/do/minisite?cId=3164720 Sweet (Y) I'll keep this topic updated! SnowRanger13
oh post impressions please :D :) For those that don't know PSP can run at many different speeds. While its max is 333MHz until recently that was capped at 222MHz for the only reason to save battery life. With the PSP now uncapped developers can access the full potential of the PSP at a cost of some battery life. Back when they first were working on God of War PSP the cap was still on, now that it has been removed they have made changes to the game to take advantage of the more processing power. Some of the differences shown between the two version of the PSP God of War game are just advancements in the game itself but a lot of it is because of the extra processing power. While it's hard to see all the differences in a youtube quality video the characters looked noticeably better and the environment looked slightly more detailed but I found the color representation much better in the 333MHz version. I'd even say to me that the 222MHz version looked lower graphics then the first two games, but the 333MHz looked like its more detailed then even God of War I & II.
