Denis W. Veteran Posted December 12, 2007 Veteran Share Posted December 12, 2007 Campaign Mode is Bad. I recall them saying it was going to be more like a actual campaign mode, like a true SP game, but it is the same exact thing as past Unreals, Matches with Bots, with cut scenes trying to flesh out a story in between. Really do not know what crack they were smoking saying the Campaign would be any different this time around, unless I actually missed something I was supposed to click on, all I saw was Matches with Bots. "Hold off the enemy until the respawner charges are depleted." "Capture the enemy's Field Lattice Generators (FLaGs)." "We need to ge-(a very long pause while the map finishes loading) get t- (some loading noise) get access to the bridge." (this was the case for the PC version, not sure about UT3 PS3) Excellent way to translate arena-style fighting into a supposed futuristic war. (though honestly some of the commentary is mildly hilarious, i.e. about the flags: "It looks like a flag, it feels like a flag... it is a flag to me.") If Epic was honest about the "campaign" from day one that the only major addition are Hollywood-style cutscenes, they would've been given credit for giving some polish to the single player campaign. As it stands, just about every single UT3 review on the planet from biased about COD4/Crysis reviewers ding it for this reason.
Huleboeren
You can specify whether you'd like to see servers with just controller players, just mouse/keyboard players, or both. Very nice  more games like this please :p
