psx4all PS Emulator for iPhone Is Almost Complete

snap_033050.jpg

iPhone owners will soon have more to look forward to than their standard, day-to-day walking around like they're better than everyone else. Because psx4all, a PlayStation emulator for the iPhone, will be entering beta testing any day now. Promising to play around 75% of PSOne titles, there is definitely some work to be done on the touch controls (as seen in this photo), but from what the developer says, those nasty-looking outlines are quite different than what we'll see in the final product.

Only donors of the developer's last projects will be invited to the early beta, but we'll keep an eye out for the final release so you can spend your time worrying about other things, like "do these shoes look good with this phone, or do I need to burn them immediately?"

Why would it be pointless? You don't have the same feel when you press the screen but it's almost the same experience. The coders are working on it. I've been playing Pokemon on my iPhone with the Gameboy Advance Emulator, and it's perfect. Brings back childhood memories.. :p

i tried the nes and gba emulators. . and without tactile feedback that buttons provide, I find the experience lacking severely.

and i predict this will be much worse than that..

When I play my PSOne, I don't put my controller in my face in front of the screen. You see when I'm going? How you want to play a full screen game if you have the fingers right on the screen?

Secondly, a 400-650mb iso on a 8GB PMP device is a lot...

it adds value to the device :)

just a little extra something to showoff to your friends. and if you really do have time to game a little on your iphone/ipod touch, then this'll be awesome! i'm currently playing final fantasy tactics advance on my ipod touch. can't wait for this to come out so i can replay PS1 games like Ogre Battle, Vandal Hearts and Pocket Fighter!
