Internet tricked by fake Gran Turismo 5: Prologue score from Famitsu

Reports that Japanese games magazine Famitsu has given Gran Turismo 5: Prologue a near-perfect score have proven to be false.

News broke yesterday that Weekly Famitsu had given GT5: Prologue ? which is due to be released in its native Japan tomorrow ? a highly impressive score of 39/40.

However, it now seems these claims were actually a load of porky pies, with Famitsu itself having not reviewed the game at allSource: N4G

Oh, so its actually 40/40?

Brilliant!

Damn stright. This is the sole reason i'm buying a PS3. I'll be waiting until the game is released too, to save some pennys!

Cant wait for the Top gear track.Going to be so good...

Everyone vs the Stig :p

I'll admit 39/40 for a Prologue is extremely high. But this game is still going to be great!

Ouch (N)

Even although it is the almighty GT, I would've expected 39/40 for GT5, not Prologue.

I think Famitsu will give it around 34~35~36... just down to it not being the full thing.

I don't see how anyone would be surprised that Famitsu would give GT5/GT5 Prologue an inflated score anyway.

Sure I thought the score was stupidly inflated, even for the final game compared to games such as Forza or even PGR4(wich I think is realistically a closer match to GT anyway). But it being GT and it being Famitsu I wasn't surprised. and I still won't be surprised when they release real scores that are still inflated. but that's the nature of things.

When you say them in "let them lie their asses over constantly", who do you mean exactly?

"the source of the score appears to be an individual who wished to fool users on the popular NeoGAF forums by making up a load of review scores and news and trying to claim that it was the contents of this week?s issue of Famitsu."

i>

So it had nothing to do with Sony:laugh:h:

Read the source!

And obviusly because I have an xbox and have a gamertag sig, I can't give a valid opinion.

Take a wild guess at wich one of us two proved himself to be the one with a worthless opinion.

i dont think a near perfect score means there's nowhere to go, gaming wise. prob just that given what they currently have to work with, its damn near perfect in gameplay, features, etc.

i wasnt surprised with 39/40, didnt they give forza/pgr 36-38 ish?

HawkMan is the correct person here. Famitsu are not going to give the game anything less that a near perfect score for GT5:P, even for a demo game.
