pzykotic
I can't figure out where else to ask a stupid question like this but I keep up with FireFox nightly releases for 2.x.x.x and I've noticed that when I decided to make the jump to -trunk I'm getting white-space in some web forms. The best and most obvious example is the world of warcraft forums (see image attachment). I cannot for the life of me figure out what is causing it since IIRC, both browsers use Cairo and nothing has really "changed" that would cause this doping of colours. Any help would be appreciated. Robgig1088
hmm, if I recall correctly, cairo was a new feature of Firefox 3. But, as it is still in beta, go ahead and file a bug report. Can't hurt and you then can say that you contributed to Firefox 3 ;) .

On any XP platforms or even Server 2003/Home Server this is a non-issue. Therefore, it's something O/S related in regards to this particular engine/build. It does not seem to happen on "every site" either, just a tell-tale few. The most obvious though is the World of Warcraft forums which is the reason I used them as the example (it's more visible). Robgig1088
Then I'm going to guess its one of the many rendering libraries that Firefox includes built specifically for vista (as each OS has to have these built for the specific platform). That would explain why it is Vista-only. At any rate, a bug report would be helpful for the project.

I put a bug through on this but I cannot seem to find Cairo as a product I can check it as affecting. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409336
