B0GiE
I was wondering if anyone can help. The text in some websites has gone red in Firefox. I have played with all the settings within Firefox, I have uninstalled Java, but still I keep getting this strange red text. It should be blue, it is displayed as blue within IE. Its really weird, I cant figure out how to get it back to normal. Another thing i have noticed is that the welcome to windows, window is now also in shaded red? Weird bug or what? Can anyone help at all? I have googled like mad with no results. Cheers
Corris Veteran Posted December 24, 2007 Veteran Share Posted December 24, 2007 have you checked the colours in Firefox > Tools > Options > Content Tab > Colours Text : Black Background: White Unvisited Links: A dark Blue Visited Links: Purple And also have the check box for let websites use there own colours. That's the only reason I could see that they would be changed, but then I'm not a web developer or anything along the lines, I'm sure there could be multiple reasons. B0GiE
Yes i've checked all of that and reset it to defaults. Also i have just noticed that if i move an open window over the text some of the blue comes back but not all of it? I am thinking it might be a display driver problem about rendering text??? But ie it is all fine???

AT
I have this EXACT same problem. This started happening to me after I installed new drivers for my video card (ati hd3850). I also have this red outline/shadow of red in the Welcome screen. I might try to uninstall FF and see how it goes.
B0GiE
I get the ed outline/shadow of red too. I got Catalyst 7.12's installed at the moment. I tried uninstalling my themes, still have the problem. I am now having the feeling its the CatCC 7.12's.

warren c
Hi. I was having the same exact problem. I have the HD3850 also. I decided to turn on the cleartype in the display effects dialog and the problem appears to have gone away. What a wierd bug. It was driving me crazy!
GN85
I read on the Mozillazine forums not long ago that it could be a display driver related issue. Try updating your driver, or install an older version.
