Emile
I went and bought Madden 2008 last night. Been a Madden football fan ever since the beginning. I just have to vent on this...I am very impressed with the new additions. I was especially blown away when it started reporting the latest news about the Patriots. Further blown away to see scores, news and news videos. And news from other sports besides football...whoa. College football news...awesome. Soundtrack...not that impressed. Gameplay is nice on the HD... sound is awesome. I'm not one for writing reviews, but I love this game so much, that I had to tell everyone about it. I don't care if someone else posted an awesome review...he and I can play it out online.
Bawx
Wait so, it gives you live news about sports? (via online) What do you mean by "I was especially blown away when it started reporting the latest news about the Patriots" ? I'm still playing Madden 2004 on the PS2. Yeah, we don't have a lot of cash to throw around. Gameplay is still fun, getting a bit dull though, maybe it's time tp upgrade.

I saw in the best buy ad this week they dropped the price of Madden 2008 to $19.99 for the ps2
Michael Lacey
I heard the PS2 one is crap and can mess up memory cards.
Bawx
$20!? If it's true, I'll get it, regardless of the reviews.
neufuse Veteran Posted December 24, 2007 Veteran Share Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) Impressed? gawd we were playing it this week on the 360 and to be honest it sucked... too many bad calls... we had footballs that should of been intercepted be magically pulled back to the other team... its like ratchet and clank meets madden... NFL players with gravity guns.... so many glitches.... it was not that fun playing it the funny thing about the balls jumping around... you can see it happen in the replays... it will be caught by the other team should of been an interception and boom it pulls back to the throwing team and its not... For instance, yesterday, it reported (via radio report which interrupts the soundtrack) that the Patriots are now, after playing Miami, 15-0...that game was yesterday. You can view news vids and text also. I am using the PS3. I am not sure if this info is available for the PS2 version...maybe someone else can report that. soniqstylz
EA has a deal w/ ESPN that they do the 20-minute ESPN radio "SportsCenter Update", same exact one they do on the radio. Not sure how often it's updated, but it's streamed from EA's servers. I'm assuming this, since I don't own Madden, but this is what they do in NCAA 08.
