Sam
I've got a Netgear FWP114G connected to a Netgear DG834. I've been trying to get my PS3 connected (WPA-PSK), but I keep getting the "the key information exchange timed out" message. How can I fix this apart from disabling network security? As far as I can tell the key is entered correctly. Thanks.
bob_loblaw
Do you have some sort of MAC address filtering or control? I denied all new MAC addresses by accident the other day and got the exact same error because it won't allow the PS3 MAC address to access the router. The2
I know it's a long shot, but some routers incorrectly report the type of the security, try with WEP or maybe a new firmware for the router?
sn00pie
I have an odd problem, whenever my PS3 is connected to my router my connection is crappier than it should be. I have it connected via ethernet to my wired router. The router has the latest firmware too... :/
Novaoblivion
I dont know if this has anything to do with it but with my PS3 it would not connect to my WiFi unless I made the password all lower case. Someone told me to try it from here (dont remember who sorry).
Demersynth
Yeah, that happens to me too. My PS3 and computer are right next to each other, but my PS3 drops connection all the time and my computer is fine. It sucks ass when streaming media. You sort of have to hope for the best when you wanna watch a movie or listen to music.
