Plus most of the combat seemed to turn to "hold 'defense' and mash 'counter'"? Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, I just got bored of it quite quickly. I'd say deffo pick up Uncharted. andrew_f
Ok, I've got Assassins Creed anyway as I said before so there's no need to argue over it ;) So the main contenders so far are Uncharted and CoD 4 :)

I prefer Uncharted because I'm not a big fan of FPS but CoD4 is a great game.
StevoJD
I'd go for CoD4, but I'm a FPS brain-dead ######. However, I also really like games like Uncharted, so like KoL said, go for both! Enjoy Assassin's Creed, really love the title even if the missions do get repetitive.

Brandon
You can finish most games in 10 hours and I dont know I found Assassin's Creed awesome. I found it awesome as well, but the fact is once I beat it, I had no ambition to go back. Sold it last week for what I paid for it too.
Ayepecks
My recommendations: - Resistance: Fall of Man - The Orange Box - Call of Duty 4 - Assassin's Creed - Unreal Tournament
StevoJD
The Orange Box is also pretty good, even on the PS3. Despite how bad people say it is, the frame rate only struggles ocassionaly, it does have some long load times though. A game that didn't get much attention that you should really check out is The Darkness, just bought it today. The story telling in the game is great, and the action is also pretty good. itsnotabigtruck
You can get cheap HDMI cables off Newegg. Don't buy the ripoff $100 ones.
