ens_leader1
I was thinking of purchasing a PS3 with a LCD Monitor, specificly this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824113012 It has HDMI, 1080p, and HDCP. The only issue is it has no speakers or speaker input/output. Since HDMI transports audio data as well as video, I was wondering if the PS3 allowed you to use HDMI and digital out for audio (I would have to go and buy digital speakers this be the case). I just dont want to buy the LCD and find out its not gonna work with my PS3 because of the audio issue. Let me know what you guys think.

Digitalx
PS3 can use optical output for audio which is changed in audio settings from using HDMI simple as cake as long as you have speakers/home theater system with optical support.
PiracyX
I am actually thinking about this aswell when i do get my PS3. My Monitor does have speakers but they are very crap so ill want to use my speaker setup. I guess there is some way to connect it via phono e.g Component but does anyone know about going via a Digital connection DVI & HDMI? I didnt mean to hijack the thread but i have this question bugging me aswell. EDIT: What about if someone wanted to go via Phono instead?
ReAnimation
The PS3 will let you send sound via HDMI, Optical out or the AV Multi-out port.
