Uncharted 2 coming your way

The new year kicks in with good news for ps3 owners and gaming enthusiasts. The french site jeux france is reporting that the developers of Uncharted are already working on the sequel. Further proof of this comes from an interview of the devs given to another french website TF1.

I think this was pretty much known anyway. They'll want to build upon the Uncharted franchise once the PS3 has a larger install base.

I've still to play Uncharted :( Getting it this month!

How is the first one? I'm debating between buying COD4 or Uncharted... from what I've dug up, COD4 leads the way over Uncharted in replay value?

The demo for Uncharted was simply the best demo I've played till this day on the PS3.

Response to Game:

Um, i have both COD4 is awesome b.c you can play with ppl online but take the single player for it and vs it to Uncharted, its unparalleled how much better Uncharted is, Now I have it and have played up to a certain point which i think is right near the end and let me tell you id say it took me about 18 hours to get to that point of playing maybe bit less, and i'm sure the fact i had to redo some stuff extended that but it was well worth my $60.

But the Online for COD4 is really beyond fun aswell, (have both)

So for fun by yourself hands down uncharted, but it wont last forever

Dude Uncharted is officially the best game I've played on PS3. It's an incredible cinematic feel that I haven't felt since God of War on PS2. They've done a great job.

There are a few things that might bother some people (like the twist and all that). I think it was a bit over the top but, without giving anythign away I'll tell you the game looks ridiculously good. The only annoying thing I noticed was the super sharp edges on everything. I guess this is where PS3 graphical lack comes in a bit because it can't use anti-aliasing so well, but it really didn't take away from the whole experience. The game looks pretty amazing. I've finished it in one breath (so to speak).

I can't wait for Uncharted 2. The greatest thing about this series is that it's like Indiana Jones. The next adventure can be something completely different.

You really should get it.

Game, read my response to Audioboxer. Uncharted is incredible game overall. If you like Indiana Jones theme, this one hits the spot and then some.

I just want to make something clear, even though I was kind of dissapointed with the lack of anti-aliasing which would make everything perfect, PS3s lack in graphical power is replaced with pretty bad ass processing power for physics and AI. In Uncharted the AI simply shines. I think it really is pretty good, maybe one of the best I've seen so far.

Oh yeah Game, one important thing that Zab mentioned is that COD4 is really a much better return for your money. It's multiplayer will make you play it for months.. I bought it as soon as it came out and still pimping strong on it even today. Drake is unfortunately as amazing as it is, a rental. It's an incredible singleplayer, but that's about it.

I was going to buy Uncharted but downloaded the demo before it was released. I found the demo to be very hard which put me off buying it in the end. Has anyone played the demo and full game? Did you find the demo hard or do I just suck big time?

Don't debate between the two...you need to buy both! They are both incredible games in their own right :)

Just echoing what Bhav said, if you can afford it get both.

COD4 will keep you playing online for ages, but you really do need to play uncharted - it really is that good. There is plenty of replay value too since there is loads of content to unlock.

If you want to see some good screenshots (56k warning!), check out the link below - I think its fair to say that neogaf loves uncharted!

Fantastic news. It would be even better if it came out this year, but we'll probably have to wait until 09 for it.

snip

The game is 1280x720 with 2XAA. The aliasing probably just stands out a little more due to the high contrast of many of the environments/colors in the game.
