runecklb
I've been racking my head over this one for a bit now. A couple of people on my network recently upgraded to 10.5 on their macbooks, but then they couldn't connect to the wireless network. All Windows, Mac OS X 10.3-10.4 work but not leopard. One person called apple for help, but they promptly told her that it was a problem with the wireless switch and that we should 1. try a different channel 2. try a simpler password 3. check to see if you have implemented any access control lists/m.a.c filtering 4. try disabling the security just to see if mac computers can at least get wireless at all Done all of those that I can, but still no problem. And it seems to be isolated to only those on Leopard. Any suggestions? EDIT: forgot to mention i'm using WPA2-PSK as the encryption.
CHALE
Have you tried to connect to a different network? I have leopard and have no problems connecting to any wireless networks. So try a different one to see if it is a problem specific between leopard and your router.
runecklb
Thanks for the reply, There aren't any other networks to connect to at the moment. I do have multiple wireless routers around the place and all of them don't work with leopard.
giga Veteran Posted January 5, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 5, 2008 So wait, will it not pickup the wireless signal at all? And it won't connect to it if there's no security?
runecklb
Leopard will see the network fine, and will try to connect using WPA2-PSK, but then it stops and says failure to connect to network
CHALE
Have yo tried connecting without security? It may be a problem with the WPA2
giga Veteran Posted January 5, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 5, 2008 1. Which router is this? Upgrade the firmware? Try a different firmware? 2. First try without any security. Try different security options. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...&tstart=
CHALE
I'm with giga, If it is detecting the network but not connecting it is usually a firmware or security problem.
