Cormier6083
I have been confused about this for some time now, hopefully someone can explain. During playback of a disc, the popup controls show 4 colors. I have no idea what they do. They don't do anything when I select them. It doesn't bother me, it just got me wondering. Thanks guys! I think they are interactive buttons, you know like sky/virginmedia and Digital TV "Press Red on Your remote to do this" Might be something similar for blu-ray aswell. The official sony control has them aswell for the PS3. Maybe its a nice feature that they have not got round to implement like the camera angles stuff, i am yet to see that be done in a movie with the PS3 or PSP. sn00pie
I think you can set bookmarks in the movie and assign them to those four colors? I know its something like that 'cause I was fooling around with my Spiderman 3 BD one day and I think thats what it was for.
Cormier6083
I was watching Ratatouille today and it didn't do anything, that I noticed. I'll see if the manual has anything to say. EDIT: Manual gives no clues.... at all. :/
ReAnimation
As Game says, the buttons are for placing bookmarks while your watching a movie on Blu-ray. I've only got a couple of films on Blu-ray that support bookmarking though.

andrew_f
I think it could work quite well on those awful DVD quizzes - when they go HD :p
SnowRanger13
the PS3 remote has the 4 colors as well. So did the Samsung Blu-ray player my grandparents got.
DrCheese
I only really noticed it here the other day that the PS3 remote has coloured buttons... All our TV remotes here have coloured buttons for teletext anyway so I didn't notice it They will also probably be useful for the interactive stuff on the DTT tuner that gets released here this year
