Thanku http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en.../filetypes.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_3...ayback_features MPG MPEG-1 (MPEG Audio Layer 2) MPEG-2 PS (MPEG2 Audio Layer 2, AAC LC, AC3(Dolby Digital), LPCM) MPEG-2 TS (MPEG2 Audio Layer 2) DivX XviD[14] AVI[15] Motion JPEG Motion JPEG (Linear PCM) Motion JPEG (μ-Law) VC-1 (.wmv) AVCHD (.m2ts / .mts) DVD Video (Region Locked) BD Video format on Blu-ray Disc (Region Locked) BD Video format on DVD-ROM DivX content will always initiate with a brief DivX logo that currently cannot be turned off. XviD content must be copied to the hard drive first to function. Otherwise an error would occur.

Somewhere in the world an English teacher just rolled over in his/her grave. And yes it should play it. You may also want to look at TVersity which pushes the files to your PS3 over your wifi connection from your PC. It is pretty nice

Windows Media 10's library sharing is detected by the PS3 (though WMP10 will detect the PS3 as "unknown device"), and can work just as easily (maybe moreso than TVersity in my experience).
