UT3 gets 3rd person mod

Recommended Posts

Play Unreal Tournament 3 from an over the shoulder view, like Gears of War or Mass Effect. This new camera view enhances the action and really brings you into the fight!

Enter the battle with an over the shoulder camera and see the Action from an all new perspective! Action Cam is designed to offer better visibility, depth, and feedback to the player than the normal first person view, and offers pixel-perfect accuracy.

Makes it look like Gears.

My coworker was telling me about this at lunch, now that I see it in action I am more interested.

Only thing is, what is going to be the deal with this, will everyone on the server have to have it enabled? It without a doubt offers the advantage I believe.

Going to possibly try it when I get home actually.

Actually, downloaded the file and found my answer in the Read Me.

Remember, if you want to play with this online with other people, the SERVER HOST has to be running this mutator!

I'm sure it should become fairly popular among some servers (Y)

Not surprised at this "mod", seeing as it's running off the same engine and Unreal Championship 2 was able to do it on the Xbox.

Not sure if I would like the pacing of UT3 in third person though.
