Latest builds [2010-02-12] / Current revision: 392

Windows: http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/pms-set ... 20.392.exe

Linux: http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/pms-gen ... 20.392.tgz

changelog between r392 and r381:

Major change: Could introduce regression issues, streaming/transcoding detection issues

MediaInfo support by default for PS3/XBOX, ongoing work on other renderers:

-> Faster XMB navigation (faster parsing, plus file list appears before thumbnails generation)

-> Proper auto detection of non supported files (PS3: Mpeg w/ DTS, Qpel/Gmc/H264 AVI files, Apple Lossless AAC files, 6 channels WMV, etc.)

OS X: Dropped official support for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and Intel processors without 64bit support (anything older then Core 2)

Issues with some audio m4a and video mp4 files (wrong mime types)

Slowdown on FLAC media library scan

New version folks, highly recommend you update.

always wondered, is there a way you can change the icons of folders on pms?

IMG_0144.jpg

Do you mean that or the subfolders?

Subfolders are part of Sony OS, so PS3MS can't change them, the main icon is made by the creator of PS3MS and he says it will stay as it is/be what it's called unless he changes it.

Another new build, 396

MediaInfo64 inclusion in setup build / Better divx support

Better divx support sounds good for those who still watch SD content.

Need to build it yourself just now, but just use the automated SVN builder here (run bat file) - http://hotfile.com/dl/18246764/b0a74b1/PMS_SVN_Builder.rar.html

You can always check latest changes here - http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/source/list

And see what build Shagrath has compiled to here - http://ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=919

Another new build, but compiled by Shagrath

Latest builds [2010-02-17] / Current revision: 397

Windows: http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/pms-set ... 20.397.exe

Linux: http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/pms-gen ... 20.397.tgz

changelog between r397 and r392:

- Fix no thumbnails mode

- DRM files detection

- MediaInfo64 / Better divx, avi/ac3, wmv support, also Skip/Force transcode management

If you're wondering why there's so many changes right now it's because he changed the way the whole program detects incompatible/compatible files for remuxing, making it a lot better, more efficient and faster.

Fixes: mp4 transcode/remux regression / Http server start regression / Mplayer thumbnails mode / Better DLNA (regarding totalmatches)

Mac: http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/pms-macosx-1.20.400.dmg

Windows: http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/pms-set ... 20.400.exe

Linux: http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/pms-gen ... 20.400.tgz

Hey does anyone have the template for custom thumbnails that's in this picture?

5a.jpg

It's no longer hosted on Mediafire :(

Does anyone else here use MKV2VOB!!!?? I still use my External Hard Drive!

I still use it when I don't want to keep my computer running all night. Basic settings do what I want since it's only temporary that they sit on my PS3.

    • Well duh. But it's not their agenda, they just push it forward.
    • Easier to move to Firefox, either Zen Browser or LibreWolf (which includes it by default)
    • People do not care. We are all tourists on this trip called life. So many others thing you can do, should do, then worry about trying to protect data collection. Not using Chrome, the most popular, most compatible and fastest patched browser on the market, because of data collection or some moral/political reason....is a complete waste of time IMHO. But we all get roughly the same amount of time on this trip, feel free to spend yours doing whatever makes you happy.
    • Does anyone know how the Ghostery extension works in Google Chrome? I switched to that quite a while ago, from uBlock Origin after uBlock started having issues just working. Personally I love Ghostery and I think it does a fantastic job, and I really enjoy the whitelist I have built up as well for tons of websites that don't serve ads so that it isn't blocking good elements of them by accident.
