MediaInfo support by default for PS3/XBOX, ongoing work on other renderers:

-> Faster XMB navigation (faster parsing, plus file list appears before thumbnails generation)

Does anybody still use mkv2vob that can recommended some settings to maintain quality? I've a few movies I'd like to keep on my PS3, rather than transcoding, for ease of access.

I still use MKV2VOB and love it!!! I just wish I could use the Thumb nails instead of the stupid PS3 folder icon

You can. Just change the 'sort by' option and it'll generate a video thumbnail for each file.

Do you mean that or the subfolders?

Subfolders are part of Sony OS, so PS3MS can't change them, the main icon is made by the creator of PS3MS and he says it will stay as it is/be what it's called unless he changes it.

If you're wondering why there's so many changes right now it's because he changed the way the whole program detects incompatible/compatible files for remuxing, making it a lot better, more efficient and faster.

I still use it when I don't want to keep my computer running all night. Basic settings do what I want since it's only temporary that they sit on my PS3.

np! but if you use this method? MKV2VOB it uses DTS! only thing is if you dont have a DTS Surround Sound you get no sound! I dont think you get TRUE HD sound!
