Isn't warhawk multilayer only? am I gonna get fragged all over the place as I learn to fly?

yes it's multiplayer only. however you can set up your own server and lock it so that you can fly around, learn controls, explore the map and whatnot.

As a future warning, only buy Ninja Gaiden Sigma if you feel like buying 3 or 4 controllers over the course of trying to beat that damn game.

anger management problems or another reason to need 3-4 controllers?

Horribly frustrating game for me and I'm an even tempered guy on most days unless something has been ****ing me off since morning.

Ok.. assassin's creed. pretty damn amazing. I spent first 2 days mainly on that.

Today I opened ratchet and uncharted.. and I think those two are so much fun too, but in all honesty I had to peel myself off of uncharted to go to bed.

I think it's going to be an uncharted weekend.

I got my PS3/80Gb last night, all setup, HDMI, optical audio, BR remote, MotorStorm and 2 Blu movies. My god, quite a bill in the end!

So now, I have both X360 and PS3, both Blu & HD-DVD. No more format war problems. Got it updated to the 2.10 firmware, took like 25 min to do so, even if I have high-speed Internet.... Slow servers?

The PS3 is allot quieter than the X360 (even if I have a newer X360 with HDMI). The Dashboard of the PS3 is allot simpler (as in nothing much) if you compare it to the X360. But you can Fold and go on the Web! :) On the "Media" site of things, I like it much better on the PS3, probably because of the simpler interface. It's funny, I had less problem connecting my PS3 to my Media PC to share my music/video/photo than I did with my X360!!!

As for the PlayStation Store, it pales in comparison to the Xbox Live Marketplace. One is free the other one you need to pay, but it shows with much more content.

My experience with Blu-Ray movie is so-so, it's like DVD but in Hi-Def. Nothing fancy/interactive/hot menu like HD-DVD. Maybe Profile 2.0 will help bring Blu at the same level than HD-DVD.

As for MotorStorm, that's my kind of game, crazy fun, racing, crashing!!! I'm waiting for GT5 and hope to be able to find GT4/GT3 in store, never played them before!

All in all, I'm happy to have the PS3. It's a nice (costly!) addition to my entertainment system.

Awesome!

Yeah as a media/streaming device, I'd pick my PS3 over my 360.

Only use the 360 for gaming, movies/tv shows all run through my PS3 over TVersity, or from the internal/external drive.

It sounds like you have a good sound system, correct? If you're wanting to watch HD content over your network or off your PS3 hard drive, use MKV2VOB as it will keep 5.1 DTS intact. Some tips in the guide in my sig.

I have one simple question about my PS3/80Gb : Is it fully BC with PS2 games? Is it BC in software or does it have the PS2 hardware inside?

Is their a website with the list of supported PS2 games on the PS3/80Gb ??

Thanks!

80Gb PS3 is NOT fully compatible with PS2 games - it is however fully compatible with PS1 games tho..

Yes it is depending on the region you live in. in the US the 80gb has full ps2 compatibility.

Are you sure? I thought the 80gig was just like 60gig but with a slightly bigger harddrive ? :s

I'm in Canada here, so maybe my PS3/80Gb is full BC. But do you have any link or info about this?

yeah, i believe the 80gb has the PS2 chip inside it or something? since its part hardware and part software emulation couldn't we atleast get the software part of it on 40gb ps3's?

I might be wrong, but the hybrids have the GPU of the PS2, it's the CPU part that is done through emulation.

Which is obviously easier than emulating the GPU side.

In order for the 40GB to have BC it would have to be fully software, like the 360-Xbox BC.

It will probably come eventually, with Sony clearing wanting the 40GB to be the main model to promote.
