Cloud Constructors
DAMN!!! Where did you get a $10 code??Reason I asked is just ordered mine last night with a $5 code. So mine was $61.60 I got the White one BTW, just figured it would be easier to know which one was Dual Shock and which one was not. A user on a different forum kindly gave it to me. mycoolkim
I would stick with a PS3 controller unless a 3rd party controller was reviewed and posted up on Neowin for feedback, some 3rd party stuff are dodgy
Huleboeren
What I hate the most about 3rd party controllers is that most of them dont have multiple points of pressure on the X, circle, square and triangle buttons - like the original controller does.. DirtyLarry Veteran Posted January 28, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 28, 2008 DirtyLarry: Are you playing Burnout Paradise on 360 or PS3? Which console do you prefer? Playing it on the 360 for two reasons and two reasons only, Live and Achievements. When I do finally go online with the game (I tend to play Single Player a lot before I go online), but when I do, most all of my friends, co workers, and family (two cousins) own the 360. Also, the game has a lot of things to unlock, and having the Achievements on the 360 really makes it that much more fun to unlock them. Performance wise though I see no differences, so it really comes down to those two reasons.
randomnut
You mean to say that you play games putting anything less than full pressure on those buttons? I can imagine on the triggers it would be useful, but it seems like a wasted fearute on the others...

If you mean the square x circle triangle buttons, pressure sensitive pressing does come in useful at times. I'm sure MGS used, press softly to choke hold but keep alive, push hard to choke hold and snap neck. I think there was a bit of a learning curve there though, with people accidently pushing the button too hard  Also I think some games use it for stages of running, eg slow hold run slow, hard hold run fast. In GTA you can cruise slower than fullspeed by not pressing the button all down - works very well. using the triggers as speeder/break doesnt really suit GTA as you use those to look left/right... but perhaps that will change in GTA4 since there are freeaim drivebys :p
