Just played this game online over the PSN network. It's good for being free, very seamless between offline and online play. Alot of fun, you can collect mugshot pictures of your opponents :p Does anyone use a bluetooth headset with their PS3?

what's your general opinion of the PS eye? is it worth getting?

sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead, but i just saw this question lol. i think it's worth it just for burnout paradise alone. it's not the best camera in the world, but it gets the job done. it's great for video chatting with friends as well.

I've got a DS3, I imported it from play-asia, makes burnout and all other games feel better and overall kinda play better, like in UT3 the rumbly effects for each gun add the feeling of power to the guns which was badly needed.

As for the BT headset, I'd say its FAR from perfect, and very few people use it, at least from the demo its impossible to tell the room full of morons to do the challenges, on the other hand when I play it on 360 everyone has a mic and they all use it, much easier to get everyone where they need to be. The quality of the voice comm is lacking in this as it is in other PS3 games online.

I'm still going to get it on either machine.

Also you can use ANY USB cam on BP for the mugshots.

I'm going to challenge that statment until I see some proof....

me (and a few others from this forum) have tried a number of USB cams (brand names and no-names), and the PS3 sees them all as "unsupported device".

Are you trying to say that Burnout Paraside supports hardware that the console it self does not support?? find it hard to belive

No splitscreen = deal breaker. I was so set on buying this, but I had most fun with past Burnouts on splitscreen multiplayer. I really have no interest in playing Burnout online with people I don't know.

i suggest giving it a rent at least. i was upset about the lack of splitscreen as well, but to be honest with you, i think the single player aspect of the game alone is worth the price tag. there's just so many things to do and challenges to beat. i haven't even gone online much with the game. so yeah, give the game a shot at least, you might end up liking it. :)

I can't believe the depth of this game, there are loads of cards to collect. Just when you think you've finished the last license, another one gets chucked at you. Great game...

I mentioned it before, but why did EA drop RenderWare when it made this game so beautiful?
