[PS3] Bluetooth Headset, and Webcam

Recommended Posts

So, I can talk in-game. I used to have a USB headset connected to the PS2 when I had it, however, I want to know:

1) Will a USB headset work with the PS3?

2) Will any bluetooth headset work with it too? Or does it need to be a specific one (like the Warhawk one that you can buy).

Secondly, will any USB webcam work, or does it specificially need the PlayStation Eye?

The WarHawk headset is just a Jabra Bluetooth headset so the majority of bluetooth headsets should work, not sure about USB ones but I can't see why they wouldn't work. With cam, again not sure as I have a PSEye but most should work OK. FWIW the PSEye has a built-in mic so no need for a headset.

any USB headset will work with the PS3. i used to use my SOCOM headset with it until i got my bluetooth one. any bluetooth headset should work as well. as for the camera, it does not have to be the eye. any USB cam will do. heck even the 360's vision cam works with the PS3.

Well, I got a Sony Ericsson HBH-PV705, and it works fine, which is great. :)

I also tried my Logitech QuickCam Express STX, which does not work. I guess I have to get an Eye then... :(

Next question, does the Eye work on PC?

1) Yes

2) Yes

3) PlayStation Eye will only work, I tried 6 different webcams, 2 of my own from logitech, 3 from MS, and 1 no name (one of the cams was only mine btw, lol, I asked my friends to bring theirs over to try and see if it works) It must be driver related?
