Quillz
I'm currently running a Fedora 8 virtual machine and would like to try out Firefox 3 Beta 2. However, this doesn't seem to be available at all via the package manager. I tried downloading Firefox directly and running it, which appeared to work except the toolbar (and everything, in general) was very large and glitchy. Thus, I don't think I did it quite right. So, when Firefox 3 isn't available via the package manager, what's the best method of installing it? I'd like to try to get it set up in Ubuntu 7.10, as well. kyro
do "yum -t --enable=development update firefox' will give you latest beta firefox. *backup your bookmarks etc before you do, just in case*

Quillz
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html ? That's what I tried and it seemed to work, but I don't think I installed it properly. Everything was in my /home directory, and it didn't seem to work right. Scorcho
That's what I tried and it seemed to work, but I don't think I installed it properly. Everything was in my /home directory, and it didn't seem to work right. http://www.getswiftfox.com/just follow the installation instructions and use the .sh script to install. note, if you don't want to taint your Firefox 2 profile, create a new one (same way as in windows).
