[PSP] downgrade question

Recommended Posts

pandoras battery will work on both slim and fat. If you dont have a mate with one, they can be picked up on ebay for not too much but you also need the memory card with the firmware to boot from and flash to a stripped down version of 1.5 firmware, which you can then upgrade to any custom firmware.

Upgrade to 3.03 and you can use an un patched version of Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories to downgrade to 1.50, you need access to a 1.50 psp to create a Pandora battery I believe... ive never done it this way my self.

If you use Liberty City Stories I will be able to answer any questions you have.

Do you have Lumines? You can upgrade to 3.50 and downgrade with that too.

If not you will either need to make a Pandora battery and memory card with a PSP that has already been downgraded or buy one on Ebay.

It might be worth buying GTA to downgrade, you can always sell it after... it is a good game too!

Your best bet is to pick up a Pandora setup off Ebay, Craigslist, or the like. They aren't too expensive and they are a good thing to keep around anyway in case something goes wrong in the future.

Well good news everyone. the phatPSP with 3.02 that i had orginally started this thread about was a friends, that wanted me to try and hack it for him i've since given it back to him seeing as i didn't want to ruin it.

I have manage to hack my PSP slim though, via hardmodding my battery, then restoring it with a soldering gun. I am so happy, it installed 3.80M33, then i jsut did a network update to 3.80 M33-5

:D :punk:

3.80 M33 is teh suck... FF7 glitches!

It does? Thanks for the warning, still on 3.71 M33.

But it shouldn't matter, 3.80 has popsloader now anyway.

I don't play Final Fantasy, never been a fan of it, so no loss for me.

Ah then that's OK Then!

No no no, if you read all the comments on the PSP news sites, lots of people are still having problems with 3.80 M33-5, FF7 battle glitches. If you're playing FF7, look into the new firmware feedback before updating.

Even with popsloader and 3.71 pops?

I thought the point of popsloader was to emulate previous firmwares?

Ah well, must be other issues causing problems (N)
