Shift Linux 0.6 Released Today

Recommended Posts

Just downloaded virtual PC 07 and am currently DLing Shift KDE 0.6

The only experience I've had with Linux is brief with installing Ubuntu on my laptop a while ago, but I'm always interested in Linux and want to learn more about it and get active perhaps in helping with Shift. Anyway, I figure this is the best way to learn!

Wait there's no 64-bit? :(

Not at this time, but we will put that on our list of future projects :) .

I tried to auto configure it, I saw GF8 in the list, but I bet the Driver don't support the new G92 Core in my 8800GT.

Really annoying... I think Gamers Cards are not so welcome in the Linux World.

Uh, download the newer driver from nvidia.com? Or are you one of the persons that won't tolerate closed source software on their system? I'm running the 8800GT just fine. Under Solaris, at that.

Cool. I like Shift, though it definately needs work. (Doesn't everything?)

This restricted drivers nonsense really makes me want to hit something though. I haven't been able to get a punching bag yet, and trees would probably hurt, any ideas?
