bmdixon
Just re-subscribed and rather than the ?6.86 that it says on the subscribe page, 10 Euros is now about ?7.62. I have no problem paying the extra (i had picked to pay in ?'s but it went back to euros on paypal), but as it's quite a way off i think you should change the amount on the subscribe page. Enjoy spending my extra 7:) :) For your info: 1 GBP = 1.31313EUR (from the paypal receipt)
Lee G. Veteran Posted January 28, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 28, 2008 Yeah - it was the same for me when I subscribed. I didn't think twice about it, but it is a good idea to change the prices.
bl4ck5un
To change the prices or add two extra options for $ and ? so there needs to be no conversion?
Steven P. Administrators Posted January 30, 2008 Administrators Share Posted January 30, 2008 Well, the price is fixed at €10, so if the currency rate changes over a period of time we can't do much about it. Sometimes it works in your favour and sometimes in ours (euro is stronger). Ask an American subscriber how much more he paid this year to convert dollars to 10 euros! A lot more, believe me. PS: You didn't get a favorable rate from PayPal. I guess the high rate includes some sort of transaction cost.
bmdixon
fair enough, it's not much more (for me) so i don't mind. Is there any point in letting us view in other currencies though if they're going to be wrong? I know the rates change all the time but why not just show us in euros and let us figure out what it is in our local currency? :dontgetit:  <-- spend my money wisely :D
