Leif
How do i stop Firefox from automatically opening files after a download has completed? I've looked through the preferences and I must be blind cause I do not see a way to stop it.
Echilon
Tools->Options->Content->File Types->Manage. Then you can change the settings for each filetype.

Leif
Haha! No i didnt look there :o) So now i have to add actions for each file type? Like... ".avi, .pdf - and set an action - save to computer" a bit annoying but it works. I thought there used to be a way to universally save to disk or open files after downloading. Thanks for the help! shtraue
You just need to change the action for the file types you do not wish to open automatically, there. By default when you download a file, you are presented with an option to either open or save the file, and there also is a checkbox: "Do this automatically for files like this from now on." So there in the options, you can change that remembered action.
