Axon
I don't know what it's like in the US or UK, but here in Canada or more specifically BC, if you request any personal information an organization or Government establishment has on you, they are required by law to remove it without delay. In almost all scenarios I've heard of, this law can supersede ToS agreements (one major exception is official government records, health dbs, etc). I think this would only apply to his account in this case, not his posts/contributions. If there are similar laws in the US/UK, Neowin might not have a choice to refuse such a request... I've invoked this law before, really just for the hell of it. Works quite nicely at ****ing companies off. -Ax
-Alex-
In the UK, you can request INACCURATE information held about you to be amended or removed but not in other circumstances. At least, this is speaking from somebody who works in a bank; we have to (by law) keep all information we have about a person held on record for at least 6 years. episode
Even if the posts got deleted, the various web caches would still show them indefinitely. So theres no point to asking to delete the posts.
SacrificialSoldier
Anyone see the irony of him trying to delete himself off the "internet". while almost all the hits on google on his name are of posts asking for his deletion :) Agreed. Once you are on teh internetZ you can not leave. They have caches, backups and stuff like that. You can't just disappear.

GrimReeper
I could understand why someone may want to be able to delete there account but deleting all/some of your posts is a unneeded feature.
