+unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted February 2, 2008 Subscriber¹ Share Posted February 2, 2008 Does anyone have any recommendations for an usb tv tuner that works with linux? I'm not bothered about it having fancy features (just good picture quality)
xithium
I use a Freecom USB DVB tuner. I made sure to get a unit with art number 25452 to ensure compatibility. The newer models which claim "Vista compatibility" don't work. For a full list of USB DVB-T tuners that work under Linux see http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-T_USB_Devices You'll probably need to download some firmware, just place it in /lib/firmware and the tuner should be detected by MPlayer/Xine
