+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted February 4, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted February 4, 2008 So I've just started back on my FF12 save - Haven't even completed FF12 yet :| I'm a bit of a "need to do everything" kind of guy, so even although ive put in 57 hours so far, im probably nowhere near finished  There is soo much to do in FF12 between hunts/espers and hidden fights/side quests. I'm looking at the logitech option, as the controller looks nice and it seems to be from a well known 3rd party - http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/p...76&cl=gb,en Anyone got any other suggestions? ps. FF12 looks great on a 40" HDTV... uhhh... :p It's not that bad actually, at least it has widescreen support!
Nicholas-c Veteran Posted February 4, 2008 Veteran Share Posted February 4, 2008 i dont think their is any wireless PS2 controllers that are unnecessarily oversized ? why not load it onto your PS3 ?
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted February 4, 2008 Author Subscriber² Share Posted February 4, 2008 i dont think their is any wireless PS2 controllers that are unnecessarily oversized ? why not load it onto your PS3 ? The logitech looks reasonably sized, you'll see if you visit the link. Also I have a 40GB PS3, I have my PS2 hooked up to my TV through scart... I may purchase component cables, but I dunno how much difference it's going to make on a PS2 :/
CelticWhisper
Go with the Logitechs. I have two and they're easily the most comfortable Playstation controllers I've ever used. They approach GameCube levels of comfort (intended as a compliment as some people apparently find GC controllers uncomfortable). The curvature is just right, the angles are just right, everything about them is pretty much...just right.

I just bought it for 17 notes new, not bad as the selling price on the official site is 30 notes. Waiting patiently now :p Using the wired controller isn't much of an issue, it's just messy and with the 360/PS3/Wii being wireless it seems daft to have my PS2 wired. Coldgunner
you should get the component cables too, as the difference I had with my wii on component over scart was so much better.
rockthebox
I think it looks cool, but do they only sell it online or do they sell it in the stores.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted February 6, 2008 Author Subscriber² Share Posted February 6, 2008 This controller is great (Y) Feels more comfortable than the original PS2 controller. It is a little heavier though.
CelticWhisper
It is a bit heavier, but I think it winds up being a good thing. I don't know that I'd like those pads as much if they were lighter. Logitech definitely know their ergonomics.

Spent about 1.5 hours leveling n stuff in FF12 in the great crystal and then my party got wiped :| I don't level anymore than the 3 characters so when it came down to the three in reserves I had no chance of escape. Not that you'll care CelticWhisper, but someone who plays FF12 will :p
CelticWhisper
I know all too well how that goes. I'm actually working through FF12 myself. I just got to the village of the...um...warrior-tribe guys. I have, however, experienced this sort of loss many times in SMT Nocturne, Xenosaga, and the Wild Arms games. It hurts. Lots. Ahh you know the "pain" then heh. To be fair I was playing the system a little, there is a section in that part of the game where a certain mob will keep spawning that one-hit-die from casting phoenix down/raise on them - As they are undead. Setup the gambits and just run around and rake in the xp ;) Ohh and equip the accessory that gives you double exp for even faster leveling.
