Team Assignments and Responsibilities

This is a list of tasks, duties, and jobs and who is responsible for them, as we discussed at our IRC meeting held on the 9th of February.

Developers:

Lead Developers: CrimsonRedMk (Simon360 assisting) - responsible for overseeing the coordination and integration of all 3 Shift Linux versions. Any disputes or questions involving developmental issues will be resolved by this level.

Shift Linux Gnome Developer: Simon360- Develops all aspects of Shift Linux Gnome

Shift Linux Lite Developer: CrimsonRedMk- Develops all aspects of Shift Linux Lite

Shift Linux KDE4 Developer: Ganesh- Develops all aspects of Shift Linux KDE4

Shift Linux QA Testers: Simon360, CrimsonRedMk, Mr. Fish- Tests versions for complete branding and bugs. Fixes / reports issues to the Lead Developer.

Graphics:

Lead Graphics Coordinator: Mr. Eggsalad- Develops and integrates graphics and themes across all versions for unity and consistency.

Graphics Developer: Commadore Max, Cosmin- Assists Mr. Eggsalad as needed.

Coders / Script Writers:

Coders: Commadore Max, Ganesh- Help develop new apps and scripts to set Shift Linux apart from all other Linux distros.

WebMasters:

Webmaster Team: Dave Legg, Simon360- Maintain Shift Linux website and Shift Announcements on Neowin.

Server Maintainer / SVN Developer:

Server / SVN Maintainer: Dave Legg- Maintains Shift server. Develops Shift SVN.

Documentation / Wiki Developer:

Documentation Developers- Kreuger, James7- Records and safely maintains all documentation related to Shift Linux

Wiki Maintainer: James 7- Develops and maintains the Shift Linux Wiki. Coordinates with Webmasters to have seamless flow between our website and our wiki.

Publicity:

Public Relations: James7- Develops leads and PR areas to help promote Shift Linux. Projects and initiatives to be reviewed by Shift Linux team before implementation.

Recruitment:

This is everybody's job. If you come across an individual you think would be an asset to our team, please invite them into the fold. The more diverse we are, the better we will be.

I think this covers everyone so far. We will add as needed. This is the structure we should maintain in order to develop a single, systematic approach that is both unified, and professional. Since we have become world class, we need to structure ourselves like a world class outfit.

Our next IRC meeting will develop more refined goals. Thanks for everyone's attendance today!
