Gamehelp in linux

Recommended Posts

My friend is trying to run mu online through wine. Its all installed on a USB drive.

When he tries to run it on his linux comp (eeepc running default Xandros) it gives an error saying "/local/data/Mix.bmd not found"

He then tried to run the game with the same flash drive on his windows XP computer it runs fine.

Any suggestions on how to get it to work on the linux comp?

The Linux that comes with the Eee is very limited and is really only meant to be used as a general internet appliance. Try a different distro of Linux, like Ubuntu and see if that works. My mother just got the Eee PC 4G Surf and it doesn't have a webcam and I'm have a rough time trying to get the drivers for an external webcam installed and she wants to use the Linux that came with the laptop because it is easier to use for her.
