PricklyPoo
Ok, within the last few weeks, I noticed that at least 3 or 4 of my posts just "disappear." This is fine and all but could the admins that remove them at least tell me? Maybe it is just an error I really don't know though. Just a simple gripe, maybe this has happened to other people too? markwolfe Veteran Posted February 15, 2008 Veteran Share Posted February 15, 2008 Sometimes posts that reply to an offending post are removed. They are no longer needed and are out-of-place. It happens. If you don't get a message from staff saying that you are receiving a warning, then you are fine. :)

Fred Derf Veteran Posted February 15, 2008 Veteran Share Posted February 15, 2008 When a thread is cleaned then all posts that relate to the problem are often taken out as well. That tends to end the inappropriate discussion. Usually, a note is left in the thread to indicate that it has been cleaned. For example: [Thread Cleaned]

Joel
could the admins that remove them at least tell me? That's not going to happen, unless it rated a warning. We'd have a never-ending stream of PMs going out to members about post deletions.
PricklyPoo
Yeah, I even knew that..3-4 posts :o someones not behaving :p Hehehe, maybe not, or maybe the admins are trying to keep me from reaching 2k posts. :shifty: Those bastards. :p
RuudJacobs.NET
So.. mystery solved I guess, I didn't know post would be 'just removed without further notice', but hey, learned something new again :)
+StevoFC MVC Posted February 16, 2008 MVC Share Posted February 16, 2008 There's a chance you posted in a thread that was moved into the subscriber NSFW area also.
Fred Derf Veteran Posted February 16, 2008 Veteran Share Posted February 16, 2008 So.. mystery solved I guess, I didn't know post would be 'just removed without further notice', but hey, learned something new again :) IPB does not do this automatically and it would be just too much work for us to do manually. Sometimes, when I clean a thread that has gone off on a very bad off-topic direction, I will end up removing more posts than I keep.
