Shasoosh
I want that all my extension will be compatible with FF3 but instead of manually edit every xpi i thought that maybe there's a way to change the firefox core version number and by that the extensions will "think" that they're compatible. Couldn't find anything on google.
CloudEngineer
use the nightly testing tools extension, there is an option to disable version checking for add-ons
+Frank B. Subscriber² Posted February 16, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted February 16, 2008 Try installing the Nightly Tester Tools extension. It adds an 'Make all compatible' button to the Add-Ons dialogue. Works pretty well.

Pupik
You can also create a new boolean named "extensions.checkCompatibility" and set it to "false". Will do the job, without any need for extension.

I've managed to quickly remove it from the addons menu before it crashed again but i'm wondering, is there a way to open firefox in safe mode in order to remove a faulty extension ( i'm aware of the manual way by deleting the extension folder from my profile)
