insanekiwi
you need to either format the hdd via the ps3 or create a rootdir named "PS3" and (test) subfolders like "PICTURE" , "VIDEO" or "MUSIC" source: http://boards.1up.com/zd/board/message?boa...essage.id=31447 edit: google is your friend. not really that HARD ain't it? 4th link on google search

EVERY external hard drive should be picked up as long as it's FAT32. In regards to the VIDEO/PICTURE folder ect, that is not needed. All you need to do is go to press triangle and click view all when you have an external plugged in to view all the files on it. If you just click x to view it will say "no files available" if you don't have the PICTURE/VIDEO/MUSIC setup, that's all. Gavin001, your hard drive should be picked up when it's plugged in. Does its name not appear under video/pictures on the XMB? If not im not sure, run scandisk on the PC to see if something is wrong. Also is it a power supplied external or a powered by USB drive?
