paxa
due to some lack of time i couldn't get this issue looked at. so i went at it again today i've searched for some workaround and found and followed this guide . still getting the famous error, connection timeout. i've been searching a little more about this...and checked /var/log/secure. one particular entry caught my attention Mar 10 21:10:55 localhost sshd[1582]: Server listening on :: port 22.Mar 10 21:10:55 localhost sshd[1582]: error: Bind to port 22 on 0.0.0.0 failed: Address already in use. could this be related to it??? and two more things. I have a no-ip account and tried to connect through it, same result, cannot connect, connection timeout. which leads me to the second thing. i can connect from my box to my my box either using the ip address or the no-ip address, and from the outside i cannot which is strange. any ideas????
