Neowin keeps popping up

Recommended Posts

I've noticed for a few months now, when I have 2 browser windows open, and try to look at the second, the first window with Neowin, pops up over the window I want to look at.

At first, I thought I was somehow accidently double-clicking.

Then for a while I thought this was just some Firefox bug, so I tried opening up some other web page first, then Neowin secondly.

But today, it's happening again.

The only way to control it, is to minimize the Neowin window altogether.

Is this going on with other members ?

Is the Neowin window asserting itself some new 'feature' ?

Is it really a Firefox (2.0011) browser issue ?

This popping up does not appear to be happening with other web sites.

(No -- I do not use 'tabbed' windows in Firefox, and do not wish to. Running Win XP Pro, sp 3)

It's very annoying to have the Neowin page over-riding my second window.

Any help is appreciated.

This is just how it starts. Soon Neowin will override the page your currently viewing, after that you won't even be able to load any other websites. Following this Neowin will place itself on your desktop and will be unremoveable.

Precisely one week later, Neowin will become self-aware, and your computer, now only a port to access Neowin, will no longer allow you to shut it down.

You must act now before it's too late Hum.
