soniqstylz
They were showing off a program called "Tuner", an analyzer and debugger for PS3 development. Basically will analyze your code, and tell you where there are bottlenecks, etc. Looking at the website, it's part of a larger system called ProDG, a total Playstation console software developement tool. http://www.snsys.com/ps3/prodg.asp
blackhorse
Maybe this is the first one for PS3, but there are many different static analysis and Perf (dynamic) tools available for PC for a long long time.
soniqstylz
As far as I know, this is the only one for PS3, and it's created by Sony. But this should dampen the complaints from developers that Sony's tools make it harder to develop on PS3 (something I actually heard from a few programmers I talked to during the week, how much they hate working on it).
