My crappy laptop im running on just now (main rig motherboard blew up, new mobo coming tomorrow), won't let me put the images in this topic - Sorry you'll need to visit the source unless someone else copies ;) over ;)

With the new beta rolling out to testers this week, I'll keep this topic updated with all the leaked screenshots/videos from the testersannoyingying DLB dude will probably do a new walk:prough :p

Is it me or does it look like Home has had a graphical update? It is now confirmed to be running in 1080p, maybe it's that?

Looks good and I'll definetly try it out when it gets released for sure. However, this has been in beta for so damn long I was starting to think it was scrapped  still, it has quite some time till it is released though, doesn't it?

Its a shame most devs wont be bothering to create Home trophies or objects, as confirmed on the 1up podcast the devs basically said hello no we done even have time to finish the game nevermind creating home content for the smallest audience

Is this true? It really would be a shame if so.

Home has had a graphic update, just downloaded the Beta, better more Character options as well now. But they shouldn't be posting screens that breaking the beta agreement.

So the new beta for testers is out then?

I expect videos soon :p

No concrete dates apart from 2008, summer 2008 is the guess. Open beta should hit before release.

I've heard one developer moaning about it, but no you can't really say "that is true".

If developers bother their backsides to put 1000 gamerpoints in a 360 game, they'll do it for the PS3 and/or create small 3D models for trophies.

Naughty Dog are using actual in-game models to create trophies last I heard which = no extra work. For example one trophy for Uncharted may be a "treasure" in the form of a pot discovered in the actual game.

Plus Home will NOT have a "small audience".

From what I know, it was a guy from EA who had said what is the point in making them, how do the developers get anything out of it, especially if they are free.

Typical EA trying to make money on something. -_-

While other developers will make 3dmodel for us to display on Home, EA will put it on PSN for us to buy our achievements.

Maaaaaaaaaan!

I am so 100% torn now. I swore I'd not get a PS3 because upon release I was so bummed out by:

1) The offering

2) Sony's marketing practises

Both the above seem to have done a complete 180 - and the latest views on Home just make me question which console I want.

Grrrrr!

First video of someone running about in the mall - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfBG4FYXy78

Here is the next video in the series - http://youtube.com/watch?v=cZGi2Hjxc5A

Mostly showing off PSP, but a few other things towards the end.

Does anyone else think including the PSP in Home was a great marketing choice? PS3 owners who don't own one will no doubt look into getting one after trying out home...

That's exactly what I have been saying since these 'trophy' rumors were first announced. Unless Sony provides an easy to implement, low cost (to the dev) API, that I highly doubt devs would be bothered with such a task (at least as far as 3rd party devs are concerned). And we all know how Sony is with software considering their track record...
