  1. 1. Do you want Home to be a success and hopefully change the future?

Again, think before mindlessly posting. Steam is a content delivery system, completely different to Live. Valve earn vast sums of money selling games through the network (which is it's primary purpose), therefore there is no need to charge users for the ability to purchase games from them, that would be silly and no one would use it.

Again, think before you make posts like that, you just look stupid.

Only recently has steam moved in the the game selling market :s steam has been around for yeeeeears and still the main reason for steam is to give gamers access to servers......not to sell games...thats just silly :s plus it aint like MS aint making a fortune off selling the likes of themes and movies on LIVE...

For those of you comparing X LIVE to Steam remember this: Buying stuff is free for both. I don't pay for LIVE, but I still buy games, and if I wanted to I could access movies and other media.

So just saying that Steam is free unlike LIVE is wrong.

Now, back to topic...

I'm not really excited about HOME, though I will try it of course and see it for myself. But then again, it may just be fun as a novelty, like 2nd Life was.

Let's face it, unless you're under 18, you'll probably be busy with your own life (work, family, etc.), with only a few moments free to game. Would you trade your few gaming moments for some virtual redecorations? I wouldn't...

For some decorating a room is as immersive as playing a game.

As is running around as a 3D avatar talking/interacting and playing mini-games with others.

Check the Sims out.... I know it has far more substance than Home, but a good part of the Sims was spent doing up a house.

Plus im 20 and looking forward to Home :p
