ens_leader1
I want to purchase a Playstation 3 but don't have an HD tv or anything so I've been looking into monitors for the past 3 months. It seems that every good monitor I find is always shot down on some forum for not having good performance on PS3 (be it TN or whatever). I'm looking for a monitor that has DVI, HDCP, HDMI, resolution: 1920x1200, high static contrast ratio: 1000:1 (dynamic 3000:1 or higher), Brightness at least 400 cd/m2 and at least a 24" Screen. My budget has been $600. The best monitor I've found so far in my opinion is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001263 (Which has been shotdown on several PS3 forums) OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824009125 (Newegg doesn't sell it anymore, I dont know if its been recalled or what, so im hesitant) Can someone maybe make a suggestion regarding a monitor based on my specs, or let me know what they think of the two monitors I researched? I don't know much about LCD technology, but I'm just looking for a very good monitor with excellent 1080p colors and picture within my budget range (which I believe is high enough for a good one). Thanks.
SnowRanger13
I'd sujest looking at the 24" Dells. I'm not sure on all the specs but there usually one of the best for there price.

Narc2500
I also want to buy a monitor for my PS3. I have a lower budget and this is the one I'm looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824014158 Maybe you would like it but its brightness is way lower than the one you set as minimum. m10mookie
I recommend the Gateway FHD2400. My brother just got one and it's awesome. I has the Sickest OSD I've ever seen. http://www.gateway.com/retail/fhd2400.php

I has the Sickest OSD I've ever seen.http://www.gateway.com/retail/fhd2400.php I did some reasearch on that monitor... It looks sick, I'm probably going to buy that instead tonight. Just one question: Does it have an audio out on it somewhere? I'd hate to plug in my PS3 via HDMI only to find out I can't use audio. I guess the only turnoff of that guy is that its contrast ratio is 10x lower than that of the samsung I mention. It certainly wont provide the vibrant colors the samsung has to offer. It has compoent and composite so I can at least hook my Wii and NES to it.
iconboy
I have my PS3 hooked upto my Dell 24" and it is flawless! :) only problem is that it doesnt have hdmi, but i have an hdmi to dvi cable im using and it looks great! :) too bad there is little to nothing to play it on it though! lol . i paid $560 CND for my lcd a few months ago and have not regretted it one bit and thanks to the multiple inputs, i have my PS3, 360 and Macbook Pro hooked upto it and each one is just a button click away :)
m10mookie
Well I guess it's not really the OSD itself but the buttons that control the OSD. The way they light up when you use the menus.
