0 bluerei Posted January 31, 2003 Share Posted January 31, 2003 It mostly depends on what colors and light it has in the image, but one way to do it is to duplicate the layer, blur the layer underneath the duplicate and set the top layer at a low opacity, or do all of that and put the top layer on 'soft light' or 'overlay'. There are a ton more ways of doing this though, like using curves to bring up the contrast and other things. There are definitely more than one layer to that image, and more likely than not the artist spent a while playing with the layers, levels, brightness and contrast of the work and eventually thought it looked cool.
