MoiN
It's really sad!! Ironically, most of the people contributing the thought of killing the guilty doesn't match the perception they have towards other matters which they cover up by saying "It's our Freedom of Speech".. Munkyman
THE WOMAN WAS ARRESTED FOR HAVING UNDERAGE SEX!!! [source] [+1] Can't you see this was nothing more than a woman screaming for attention which the press twisted for their own disgraceful needs. This is the problem with the news today we are constantly bombarded with constant BS which only makes its way to the papers to sell. Controversy sells and it's starting to have an effect on the public which are scared of an entire generation because of a ridiculously small minority (which every country has, and has had and will have) which are in the papers every single day. The Gunslinger
i believe the article said the video has been viewed about 600 times.. jwjw1
How is this YouTube's fault?Besides the fact, I can't believe people these days, the world is seriously going into the crapper. I also find it baffleing...that some countries don't think its the ISP's job to police content its members download..rather its copyrighted music or porn..but scream injustice and want to blame 'youtube' and 'myspace' for content those same members upload. theyarecomingforyou
99% of the British public want the death penalty reintroduced. Nonsense. Considering the fierce debates over badger culling and fox hunting there is no way that the majority of people would be fine with the execution of humans. If you walked into the average highstreet and talked to a thousand people there is no way that only 10 would say no to the death penalty. It solves the problem of overcrowded cells So would putting in the required funding. That is a government spending issue. it actually proves the case of "an eye for an eye" It is absolutely contrary to that concept. An "eye for an eye" is about the victims of a crime, usually relatives of someone that was killed or murdered, extracting revenge based upon their suffering - the dealth penalty is state action with no comprehension of emotion. it also works as a deterrent to criminals who are thinking of commiting such crimes. So would tougher sentences, lack of privileges (TV, books, music), a higher rate of crime detection / prosecution and the removal of access to drugs / contraband. Solving problems by creating new ones, like mistaken executions, is not the answer.
Angelic Marge
The death sentence wasn't a deterrent in the past and it won't be today. Obviously criminals don't consider the consequences and don't expect to get caught, if they did then surely they wouldn't commit crimes in the first place. Antaris Veteran Posted April 14, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 14, 2008 I believe the death-sentence does have it's use, either in serial-crimes, or paeodophilia

Obviously criminals don't consider the consequences and don't expect to get caught, if they did then surely they wouldn't commit crimes in the first place. That may be the case, but the good thing about the death penalty is that there are no repeat offenders... Here in South Africa, we have the highest murder rate in the world, in fact more people were murdered here than died in Iraq last year! It is not a nice feeling living with the constant fear of whether your loved ones are safe! Back on topic, when these dogs are arrested, 99% of the time, we stuff on the news like, " the suspect was also wanted in connection with 7 murders, rapes, etc" These guys cannot be rehabilitated, and are nothing but a cancer on society. theyarecomingforyou
The US has the death penalty but has one of the high incarceration rates - obviously it's not a good deterrent.

Antaris Veteran Posted April 14, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 14, 2008 Moderating content before its public would create a very large backlog of work, it's one of the reasons they are trying to automate it, with bits of tech like the Copyrighted work scanner
Malisk
That may be the case, but the good thing about the death penalty is that there are no repeat offenders... You can prevent repeat offenders with or without a death sentence though. And agreed on that death sentence is no good deterrent, this has been shown for many years now. Sick people are sick, not pondering the risks of getting a death sentence.
