Fish
The list of apps that come with YDL http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/products/ydl/apps.shtml is fairly typical of many standard Linux distros, and should cover you for most things. I suggest you install it and then see if there's anything you think you might like to try, but haven't got already installed. YDL is based on Red Hat, so I imagine it would be quite straight-forward to download and install more software.

Foub
Ok thanks man, well im just about to install it the now, so ill see how it goes. Will i need to know any specific commands, as ive never used linux before... Usually it is just "Point and Click" on the check box next to the listing of the program you want. Just like in Windows. Linux is much easier to use now. BTW, Linux comes with one of several different desktops managers (How the desktop is set up and appears). i.e. KDE, Gnome, XFCE, etc. I prefer Gnome myself and as you can see my favourite version of Linux is Ubuntu because I have found that it is one of the easiest to use distros of Linux out there and good with hardware as well. Dell is even putting it on some of their systems.
Borbus
Linux is much easier to use now. How is searching through a huge list for mpd and ticking a box then pressing apply then pressing ok then pressing close etc. easier than typing pacman -Sy mpd ? It's not easier to use now... it's just less scary... I've seen white on black text induce panic attacks. edit: I wasn't saying Ubuntu is crap because of that by the way... I used Ubuntu for a while and I just used apt-get from a terminal instead of using the find applications thing. Sometimes I did use Synaptic though. I find mine a lot easier to use than many other distros I've tried out and believe me, I've tried a lot of them.
