Interview Part 1

Interview with Colin Berry ? Lead Designer

How many people do you have working on WipEout HD?

We started with a very small team in spring 2007 of around 6 people. We are now up to around 25 or 30 to ensure the final code delivers all the great media feedback we?ve had so far following E3 and the Leipzig Games Convention.

[quInterview Part 2

Can you tell us about some of the additional downloadable content that?s going to be available?

We are still deciding exactly what downloadable content we will release for HD, but hopefully we will be releasing additional tracks which could include a mixture of old tracks and brand new ones. Additional ships and music are also on the list of downloadable content we hope to release. We are also looking into releasing an extra game mode or two via downloadable content, but the exact extent and feasibility of this, we are still looking into. So for the time being, nothing concrete, but plenty of options are available to us. WipEout is renowned for its music ? can you tell us about what?s in store for HD?

I dunno who Foxix is, but he's on-line people!

Ahem.

Anyway, really looking forward to this, can't wait to get some on-line races going with fellow Neowin'ers.

Is there voice chat in this too? I'd love to slag off Kol after (hopefully)winning as revenge for Warhawk. :p

I honestly don't understand how teams of 6 can pull a start-up like this off, I mean, when I've worked in teams of 4 at Uni, the workload is pretty big, and that's for a much smaller project.
