Nightz
it's called different things in different regions, so i just went with HSG5. has anyone else gotten this and tried online play? the online lobby is pretty fun and some people are calling it a mini version of home. i'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to home, but if home is implemented the way the HSG online lobby is, consider me sold. only thing missing is voice chat, but hopefully that comes in an update. Nightz
Can you explain a bit more about it?I don't own the game, but the comparison to Home get's me excited :D basically you start off creating an avatar for yourself for use in the online lobbies. from then on you can select a virtual lobby where you can interact with other people's avatars. each lobby is limited to 50 people (which is home's cap as well i believe), avatars have pre-set emote actions and text, but you can also type in messages. from the lobby, you can create your own game and have other people join in, or you can sign up for a tournament time slot. the tournament implementation is pretty neat, and i'm hoping game launching from home will work somewhat like it. basically there's a tournament every 15 minutes, and you can sign up for time slot when you want to play. once you sign up, there's a little countdown in the corner to your tee time, and once that countdown reaches zero, you get a window saying that the game is about to start and the game will launch in a minute. another countdown appears, and when that hits zero, all the people who signed up for that time slot will be magically taken from the lobby and into the game. so yeah, it's the avatars + interactions with others + game launching that people use to make comparisons with home. and like i said, if home is anything like this, i'll be quite happy with it.
