LittleBigPlanet hitting Alpha stage soon

Media Molecule came out of their hiding place to assure anxious gamers that LittleBigPlanet is, in fact, coming along quite nicely and is about to enter the Alpha stage of development. What does this mean? They say that "basically this means all the cool stuff we said will be in there should be playable, even if it isn't pretty enough to release." Well, the last known release date for the game is September. Making the game look pretty shouldn't take all that long, right? Perhaps this is one release date that will stick. We'll find out!
Sorry for the lack of updates, but we?ve been having a hectic time here at Mm Towers. Having finally sobered up after the Surrey Business Awards we?ve been slaving away pushing LittleBigPlanet toward the Alpha stage of its development cycle. Basically this means all the cool stuff we said will be in there should be playable, even if it isn?t pretty enough to release. The game seems to change every day at the moment and it is very exciting to be able to sit down and play what feels more and more like a complete experience.

One of the things that keep us sane during these stressful times is to drink maintain personal projects. Some people draw, some write music. Some people, like Victor one of our ace level designers, unwind by making even more games. Games like the awesome Blacklist:

ALPHA!?!?!? Who do they think they are, 3D Realms? I heard about this game probably 4 years ago by this point. What are they doing?

Yeah.

Maybe they just don't know what Alpha is supposed to mean.
