I'll make sure the admins take a look at this tomorrow, there might be something they can do about it. None of the files they mention there we actually offer on this site, there may be some threads that link to them though.

1Frothy
Never picked up a spyware or adware infection from neowin. Maybe it just shows how reliable (not) McAfee is as a security company.

Matrix XII
Ahh, that makes sense, is it any good? I remember using McAfee a couple years ago and I wasn't very impressed with it's performance.

+BeLGaRaTh Subscriber¹ Posted August 20, 2008 Subscriber¹ Share Posted August 20, 2008 This is still an ongoing problem, has anyone from the team contacted McAfee via the Site Owner comments? Here? Here is the current state of their findings. http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/neowin.ne...FF&aff_id=0 And the downloads they consider dangerous is here, http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/neowin.net/downloads/ I don't really have a problem as I have added it to the do not warn list, but other users may not be so accepting, and rely purely on what it recommends. tsupersonic
so far when i checked known hazardous sites it come out safenow that i learn that neowin is tagged dangerous i REALLY doubt your statement Don't blame him for mcafee claiming this is a false positive. The site advisor can tell you what sites are safe and what sites are not safe from search results. As you can see, it's not 100% accurate, but it's just a tool in determining what site is safe and what site isn't safe.Sorry for the bump, I just installed this and was wondering why neowin was a "threat"
