DLC is downloaded/downloadable content. Usually means extra content for a game, for example extra missions, new cars, more tracks and so on. Sometimes DLC is free, sometimes is paid. PDLC is sometimes used to refer exclusively to paid content (Premium Downloadable Content).

Home is a project Sony are working on that to be very basic is similar to second life. Its a 3D application and users will have a "Home", and and quite literally go and watch stuff in the virtual cinema. Accomplishments are Sony's take on Achievements, whereby you earn an 'Accomplishment' for meeting certain requirements in games, like completing levels, gaining a certain number of kills, or achieving difficult objectives.

Ohhh, like the XBOX achievements and stuff? Interesting :)

Thank you!

Yeah it should be similar.

The difference is basically instead of getting a point based score (20/80/100 points for doing "x"), you'll get 3D/2D trophies, which will be shown in your Trophy room in your Home, in Home.

Like if you complete an acomplishment in GTA4 which is destroy 100 taxis, you might get a 3D Taxi Trophy for your room in Home. Or if you kill 100 pigeons (actual side quest in GTA4), you'll get a 3D pigeon for your Trophy Room.

Sony have said developers can reuse models from the actual game, in Home, so hopefully that should make creating models for home less taxing = More, if not all developers actually giving us trophies.

That's the word on the street just now away.

Considering the large number of games released on both 360 and PS3, meaning most developers already have to think up achievements for 360, and the fact that devs can reuse the ingame models, means that the amount of extra work required should be minimal, and they should be in alot of games. Should be, anyway.
