Rigby
I doubt having a a year long (or longer) development cycle without any milestones is actually a good idea. Maybe you just don't have a firm grasp of their naming scheme? I didn't say do away with Betas, but all the pre-beta, alpha, pre-alpha stuff is getting silly. Anyway it certainly doesn't take a year to go from Beta 4 to Beta 5. :D

And "Alpha builds" are milestone builds that occur before the trunk has become "feature complete".
rpgfan
It isn't done quite yet from what I can see. Consider the fact that the firstrun pages aren't live yet: http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.0b5/firstrun/ It is almost ready, however. ^_^ Whoever posted the link to http://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/Firefox_3.0b5 was right in doing so. Currently, the pages say "1 hour" for the "Build enables updates", "QA tests live website changes, stage download links, mirrored installers", and "QA tests live snippets & download links" sections at the bottom. However, there isn't any time given for the other four that are "not started" at the moment (the last seven are "not started", though the three I mentioned have a time of "1 hour" according to that page). This was a very early heads-up...
Dazog
Todays nightly build for some reason is just called 3.0pre and is by far the buggiest version yet... it crashes frequently and has a few glitches. Don't use nightly's. And you won't have anything to complain about.

mancode20
Auto update finally caught it. Lookin' good and runnin' smooth so far. I got a question. It could be Firefox related or maybe Opera. I'm not 100% sure. I remember one of the browsers having a very useful feature that allowed you to auto-refresh individual sites by time intervals. Like refresh this page every 5 seconds or so. Does anyone know which browser that was in and why they took it out? Also, is there an extension or program that could do that for Firefox, Opera, or even IE? Let me know. Thanks! Nevermind. I found it. It's in Opera. It's when you right click on a part of the site. I can't believe I forgot about that! It's cause I switched to Firefox. Now I just need to find an extension for Firefox. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted April 10, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 10, 2008 And JavaScript isn't actually Java, so reinstalling your Java runtime won't have any effect.
Boeing 787
I love beta 4 but beta 5 has been a disaster for me. It crashes all the time and won't remember my settings.
